Wasn't one of the presidential candidates suggesting that we bomb their refineries or something like that? I guess Iranians heard his suggestion and issued restrictions to outsmart Americans. Ironic, their own restriction probably caused more destruction and death than if US would have dropped a few bombs.

On this side of the Atlantic, anyway, the story is that the war in Iraq is what shot down TB's high approval rating in Britain. Not to mention that folks were just getting tired of his face - ten years is a long time.

I'd be interested to hear from our English friends, though. Was it Iraq that ended Blair's career? Or was there more to the story?

I'm not sure.

What he said was incendiary to say the least. It insulted not only black women but all women.

But I've heard rap and hip-hop songs refer to women as much worse.
